In the year 1986 Shree Godiji Parshwanath Temple Trust entrusted to design a temple in their premises called "Dharma Khshetra". The temple is dedicated to Shree Godiji Parshwanath and designed by Mr. B. M. Sompura. The Garbha Griha (Sanctum) of the temple is rectangular in the plan measuring 35-3" x 8-3" frontad by the same size of Koli Mandap (Vestibule). In front of the Koli Mandap the Gudha Mandap (Closed Hall) about 35 feet is decked with the Shringar Choki (Entrance Porch) in front of it. The temple is divided in two parts in the section, one is basement and another on the ground floor. The temple also contains two other entrance porches on the both sides. Three Shikher ( Spire ) has been superimposed above the superstructure of the Garbha Griha. The Mandap has been decorated with the "Kola Kachala" design in the interior and Samran from exterior. The Shringar Choki also contains a Samran above it.

The pillars of the front entrance porch are decorated with Roop Work (figures of the human beings in the dancing, playing and charming attitudes) as well as with the Toran. Open courtyard of the temple has been also covered by the exclusive design of the flooring in marble. The huge Entrance Gate has been also erected in front of the temple. The temple is carved with Khatu sand stone and Porbandar lime stone. The temple has been completed within three years. The temple is worth while seeing because of its architectural design and it is one of the best temple in the Maharashtra. |
